Our classes are a well-balanced workout for your whole body - a skillfully formulated blend of dynamic poses, dynamic sequences as well as sustained postures for strength, with an emphasis on the use of correct breath throughout. Classes conclude with a deep relaxation practice that is second to none.
Please wear either loose, comfortable clothing or gym-wear. Yoga is practiced with bare feet and is best done on an empty stomach. Please do not eat for at least one hour before class. Allow a minimum of 3 - 4 hours after a main meal.
Also please advise the teacher of any injuries or specific health concerns/conditions before the class so that we can comfortably accommodate you with any necessary modifications to the practice.
All new students are required to fill out a general health questionnaire, so please arrive 10 minutes early.
Unless genuinely pressing circumstances prevail, please leave mobile phones behind or at the very least switch them to silent mode.
Punctuality is essential.
We hold classes in the Newcastle Special School on the corner of Laman and Union Streets (see map) and Merewether Surf Club (Cnr Herderson and John Parades, Merewether beach). There's plenty of parking at both locations.
Classes at Merewether Surf Club are conducted on Thursday mornings only.
