YOGA CLASSES

Our workplace yoga techniques counter and eradicate occupational stresses from a number of essential angles. Physically, our practices work with posture and proper alignment. We also work on the development of foundational strength & support. Yoga stretching techniques have been proven over thousands of years to release physical tension, soothe away aches & pains and dramatically deconstrict the free flow of energy through the body and brain. They increase comfort as well as range and ease of movement.

We also incorporate correct breathing techniques for a relaxed mind and to remedy poor breathing habits.

Every thought, every nerve impulse, every movement, in fact all the functions of our minds and bodies are fueled by the breath! Moreover, medical science around the globe is discovering and therapeutically implementing what yogis have known for millennia: that the breath is the bridging medium between the conscious and the more subtle dimensions of mind - a powerful tool in mood and stress management.

As well as retraining the respiratory system for more relaxed and efficient breathing, enhancing concentration and overall well being, yogic breathing techniques have proven to be excellent on-the-spot stress management tools. Yogic breathing quickly subverts negative emotional responses and restores more rational and objective thought patterns.

The result is a stronger, more stable core, an overall sense of lightness, and a calmer, more focused mind. Neck, shoulder and back pain are reduced or eradicated. Students develop the ability to recognise and replace old and often negative physical / postural patterns - not just from a "theoretical" understanding, but rather from a deeply awakened bodily intuition.

Lunchtime yoga

Lunchtime sessions are an excellent recharge and revive! Enjoy a refreshing break from the busy working day by melting away aches and pains. Alleviate stress and tension and restore strength, clarity and focus.

After work yoga

Staff end their workday feeling refreshed and revitalised. After work classes are tailored especially to ease away tensions in both body and mind -- a perfect way to let go of a busy work-day.

A word on safety

The safety of practice for our participants is our major priority, therefore all of our select teachers are fully trained, qualified and insured. All participating students are guided and encouraged to work within their personal limitations in a non competitive spirit.
